This is George Remus Straight Bourbon, made at the Ross & Squibb Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. It is bottled at 47% ABV, or 94 proof, in a 75cl bottle. It is the brand's year-round bottling, named after the Prohibition-era bootlegger known as the King of the Bootleggers. The bourbon is made from a high-rye recipe and aged 5 to 6 years in new charred American white oak. The nose is sweet maple and vanilla. On the palate, vanilla wraps around a sweet rye spice of cinnamon and baking spice, and the finish is smooth and long with lingering vanilla.
