Glayva Scotch Whisky Liqueur (50cl, 35%)

Glayva is a Scotch whisky liqueur at 35% abv, sold in a 50cl bottle. It was first made in Leith, Edinburgh, in 1947 by Ronald Morrison, a wine and whisky merchant who wanted to create a liqueur unlike any other, starting from malt whisky. Morrison combined the whisky with Mediterranean tangerines, honey, cinnamon and spices. The name comes from the Gaelic 'glè mhath', meaning 'very good', the verdict of his warehouseman Hector on the first taste. The recipe is said to have stayed unchanged since.
