Glen Albyn 1976 is a Highland single malt from the Inverness distillery that closed in 1983, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Distillery Label range in 2012. It was distilled in 1976 on the banks of the Caledonian Canal and spent around 36 years in refill sherry butts in the bottler's Elgin warehouses. Bottling strength is 43% ABV, and the whisky is non-chill-filtered and natural in colour. The notes describe honeyed orchard fruit with polished oak, soft leather and mellow spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
