Glen Garioch 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt distilled in 2011 and bottled by James Eadie at 54.5% ABV as a UK market release. It was matured in a first fill Oloroso sherry quarter cask and is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The small quarter cask format brings more contact between spirit and wood, which strengthens the Oloroso influence.
Dried fruits, dark chocolate, roasted nuts and warming spice are described, set against a robust, slightly earthy spirit.
