This is a 20 year old single malt from Glen Garioch, distilled in 1990 and drawn from a single cask, number 2755. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was released by Direct Wines, the owners of Laithwaites, under their First Cask label, a series of single cask whiskies all bottled at 46%.
Glen Garioch malted its own barley for most of the twentieth century, using peat from Pitsligo, which gave the distillery a smoky character.
