This is an eight-year-old Glen Garioch from the 2010 vintage, a Highland single malt bottled by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular range. It comes from a single refill bourbon hogshead and was bottled at 59.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle, one of 290. The tasting notes describe a nose of big malt, deep earthy wood and a mix of sweet and savoury aromas. The palate has an almost peaty feel, snappy malt and a fine texture. With water, teas, spices, fruit and dark malt come through, along with the sense of fresh peat.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
