Glen Garioch – Founder's Reserve (70cl, 48%)

Glen Garioch Founder's Reserve is a single malt from the distillery at Oldmeldrum, in the area known as The Granary of Aberdeenshire. It is bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The name nods to the brothers who first established the distillery, and to more than 200 years of craftsmanship behind the Manson name. The whisky was matured in bourbon and sherry casks. On the nose there is sweet vanilla and subtle spice with green apple and grapefruit. The palate moves from butter cream and vanilla to green apple skin and citrus, and the finish brings oak, light smoke and chocolate limes.
