Glen Garioch Founder's Reserve is a single malt bottled at 48% ABV, in a 1 litre bottle. It is a warm amber colour and is said to open up with a splash of water, bringing out more vanilla, caramel and subtle fruit.
The nose is sweet vanilla and subtle spice, with green apple, grapefruit, cherries and earthy hints of rose petals, lavender and old wood. The palate is creamy, with buttercream, vanilla, green apple skin, citrus zest, baking spices, sultanas and Belgian pralines. The finish is elegant and subtle, with spiced oak, warm cherries and a touch of smoke.
