Glen Grant – 18 Year Old North Star Cask Series 027 Refill Hogshead Oloroso Sherry Finish (70cl, 56.1%)

This is an eighteen-year-old single cask Glen Grant from Speyside, released by North Star Spirits as Cask Series 027 to mark the independent bottler's tenth anniversary. It was distilled in March 2008, matured in a refill hogshead and finished in Oloroso sherry. Bottled in March 2026 at 56.1%, it gave 184 bottles, without colouring or chill-filtration. The nose offers well-baked shortbread and pistachio shells, giving a roasted, nutty impression. On the palate come apple pastry and double cream, with a creamy texture that coats the mouth at once. The finish is very long, carried by sweet cashew nuts.
