Glen Grant – 18 Years (1L, 43%)

This is an 18 year old Glen Grant single malt from Speyside, introduced in 2016 and bottled at 43% in a 1 litre bottle. It is matured in used bourbon casks and is not coloured afterwards, which explains its comparatively pale shade for its age. Glen Grant stands in Rothes, near the River Spey. It is the oldest of the four distilleries now working in the village, and its water comes from its own springs and a small stream that runs past the buildings. It is sweet and light in style, with notes of caramel, vanilla, malt, raisins, spice, oak and flowers.
