A single cask Glen Grant distilled in 1948 and bottled in 2006 by Gordon & MacPhail at 58 years old. It is a licensed bottling for what is now the Distillery Labels series, at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky came from cask 2149, a first fill sherry butt. Distillates of the 1940s were peatier, and at this age the peat shows as medicinal, smoky notes with layers of exotic fruit beneath.
