Sherry butt
A 52-year-old Glen Grant single malt from Speyside, from the 1961 vintage dated 25 December and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail on 12 December 2014. It matured in a sherry butt and is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The nose is dark and savoury with sherry, then sweet fruit: baked apple, kiwi, apricot and stewed plum, with clove and cinnamon. The palate brings blood orange, rich fruitcake, oak and winter spices, with a touch of aniseed and light mint. The finish is very long and velvety, with chocolate, marzipan, vanilla, raisins, a little coffee and a light smokiness.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
