This is a 30 year old Speyside single malt from Glen Grant, distilled in 1990 and bottled by Duncan Taylor in its Octave Premium series. After its long maturation, the whisky spent a further nine months in a small sherry octave cask. Octave casks hold around 60 litres, which brings the spirit into closer contact with the wood and gives a deeper oak influence and more concentrated flavour. The cask yielded 85 bottles.
