This Glen Grant is a Speyside single malt from Douglas Laing's Xtra Old Particular (XOP) range. It was distilled in May 1998 and bottled in July 2023 after 25 years of maturation, in a 70cl bottle. It was drawn from a single refill barrel, cask DL17784, which yielded 193 bottles at a natural cask strength of 54.1%. It is bottled without added colouring or chill filtration. The nose is robust and archetypally Speyside, with citrus fruit, mixed unsalted nuts, barley and later autumnal fruit. The palate shows subtle oak and a little saltiness, then butterscotch, cherry and marzipan dusted with icing sugar. The finish has macerated red fruit, cereal and spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
