A 28 year old Speyside single malt from Glen Grant, distilled in 1995 and bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as cask 9.287, titled Monet Meets Sherlock Holmes. It is one of 169 bottles from a single refill bourbon barrel. The nose opened like an artist's paint box, then moved to white grape, melon, pear and honeyed baklava. On the palate are perfumed pear, cloudy apple juice, galia melon, heather honey, caramel candies and juicy fruit chewing gum. With water the nose turns to roses and pipe tobacco, and the palate to apricot, papaya and monstera fruit with hints of stem ginger and cinnamon.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
