Glen Grant – 30 Year Old 1994 Milroys Vintage Reserve (70cl, 57.5%)

This is a 30-year-old Glen Grant, a Speyside single malt from a distillery whose production methods have not changed since the 1960s. It is bottled by Milroys in its Vintage Reserve range, at a cask strength of 57.5% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured for 30 years in a bourbon barrel and is full of mature fruit flavours. The nose brings peach cobbler, toasted malt loaf and caramel. The palate is rich and bold, with lingering stone and orchard fruits that turn tropical with water, like juicy mango and roasted pineapple. The finish is long and lingering, carrying fruity and malty flavours.
