This is a Glen Grant 8 Year Old single malt from Speyside, dating from the 1970s. It is gold in colour.
The nose is honeyed, with beeswax, pollen, dandelions, buttercups and overripe apples, plus traces of incense and sandalwood. On the palate there are crystallised oranges, marzipan, honey and biscuit, followed by old sweet wine, apricot jam, liquorice and a little tobacco.
The finish is clean and honeyed, with zesty apples in the aftertaste.
