This is a 1996 Speyside single malt from Glen Keith, bottled in 2012 by Gordon & MacPhail as part of its Connoisseurs Choice range.
The nose is fruity, with apple peel, allspice and dried banana chips, along with hints of overripe grape, boiled sweets and chocolate. The palate brings black pepper, mixed spices and cooked fruit, with a little cedar and honey.
The finish is long and peppery, with dried herbs and berries on the tail.
