This is a 12 year old Speyside single malt from Glen Ord, bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society at a cask strength of 59.2% ABV. It was distilled in August 2007 and matured in a single re-charred hogshead, which yielded 219 bottles.
The nose is floral and fruity, with jasmine, hibiscus, a delicate waxiness, dried mango, peach, raspberry and Kir Royale. The palate stays fruity, with strawberry, cherry, redcurrant, pomegranate, lemon and young calvados, alongside wild flowers, gorse, wood and tobacco.
