This is a 10 year old peated single malt from Glen Scotia. It is made with peat from North-East Scotland and matured in first fill bourbon barrels.
The result is a gently smoky malt with a maritime character, in which the peat is joined by a briny influence.
On the nose there is smouldering peat, baked apple and cloves. The palate brings lemon, vanilla syrup and fresh cut barley, followed by a long, drying finish of gentle sweet peat and black pepper.
