A 14-year-old single cask single malt from Glen Scotia, the second release in the five-part Icons of Campbeltown series. The artwork draws on the story of St Michael slaying a fire-breathing dragon, a scene carved into Campbeltown's historic market cross.
After 14 years of maturation the whisky spent a further six months in Barolo red wine casks, and it was bottled at a cask strength of 56.8%. It is a medium-peated malt.
The nose offers vanilla, beeswax, raisins, plums and orange peel. On the palate come dark chocolate, sultanas, sour cherries, hazelnuts and pepper, and the finish is smooth, with a touch of mint, pepper and chocolate.
