This is a Glen Scotia from Campbeltown, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2025 at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the first release in the Campbeltown Saga, a new series honouring the town's whisky heritage.
Distillery manager Iain McAlister chose medium-peated first-fill bourbon casks filled during a single month of production.
The nose combines peat smoke with green apple, grilled pineapple, vanilla and brown sugar, with a light sea breeze. On the palate come smoke, lemon zest, mineral coastal notes, creamy vanilla and tropical fruit. The finish is long and salty-sweet, with smouldering smoke and charred wood.
