Glen Scotia Double Cask is a Campbeltown single malt matured in first-fill bourbon casks, then finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. It has a toffee heart and a rich depth.
The nose opens with peach flesh and green apple peel, followed by chewy vanilla fudge, a hint of salt and a range of oaky spices with some toasted notes.
On the palate there is more fudge with a touch of icing sugar, in a powerful, oily and slightly spicy style with a hint of German brandy. Sherry notes come forward in the finish.
