Glen Scotia Double Cask PX Sherry Finish is a Campbeltown single malt from a distillery founded in 1832. It is matured first in first-fill bourbon casks and then in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
The result is a balance of rich, spiced fruit, with the sea character and vanilla-oak finish associated with Glen Scotia. The colour is amber.
The nose is very sweet, with crème caramel, caramelised fruit sugar and toffee, then apple and peach, and later charred bourbon wood. The palate is full and oily, with dried mint when water is added. The finish is deep and dark.
