Glen Scotia – Double Cask Rum Finish (46%)

This is a Campbeltown single malt from Glen Scotia, matured first in first-fill bourbon casks and then finished for at least eight months in Demerara rum casks from Guyana. It is bottled at 46%, without chill-filtering and with its natural colour. The rum finish is described as bringing tropical fruit such as banana, coconut and sweet peach, along with a sea-air character. On the nose there is sea breeze around brown sugar, charred pineapple and cinnamon. The palate offers thick molasses with dried coconut, banana, vanilla, nutmeg and stone fruit, and the finish carries more maritime notes and warming spice.
