Glen Scotia – Victoriana Batch II (54.2%)

Glen Scotia Victoriana Batch II is a Campbeltown single malt bottled at 54.2% ABV. The master blender chose its casks personally from the Reserve Cellar, picking those that best express traditional Victorian qualities. The whisky matured in heavily charred oak and was bottled straight from the cask without filtration. It is described as a limited bottling. The nose brings caramelised sugar, crème brûlée and molasses, with dark red fruits such as cherry and cranberry and a little wood smoke. On the palate it is full and sweet, like demerara sugar and syrup, with clove and ripe red fruit. The finish is strong and dry.
