Glen Spey – 12 Year Old 2013 Oloroso Sherry Butt James Eadie (52.5%)

This is a 12 year old Glen Spey from Speyside, distilled in 2013 and bottled by the independent bottler James Eadie. After its first maturation, it spent 31 months in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt made from European oak. It is bottled at cask strength, 52.5% ABV, as an edition of 445 bottles, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. The nose is rich with sherry, dark chocolate and creamy caramel. The palate brings fruit cake and toffee with a fine spice, leading to a long finish of cocoa and dried fruit.
