Glen Spey – 12 Year Old Flora & Fauna

This is a 12 year old Glen Spey from the Flora & Fauna range, matured in bourbon casks. The label describes the Scots pines beside the ruins of Rothes Castle, which overlook the distillery and shelter the goldcrest, Britain's smallest bird. Glen Spey was founded in 1885 and was originally part of the Mills of Rothes. Its water comes from the Doonie Burn. The label points to a slight hint of wood smoke on the nose and a spicy, dry finish.
