Glen Spey – 2004–2013 9 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (46%)

This is a Speyside single malt from Glen Spey, distilled in 2004 and bottled in 2013 after nine years of maturation. Gordon & MacPhail released it in their Connoisseurs Choice series at 46% ABV. Glen Spey is described as a rather light, fruity distillery character. Here it comes with vanilla, tropical fruit, pineapple and mango, alongside floral notes and toasted malt. Milk chocolate and a subtle hint of chilli spice sit behind them, and the finish is creamy.
