Glen Spey – 2008 10 Years No. 27 Vintage Casks Mossburn (55.9%)

This is a Glen Spey single malt, bottled by Mossburn as No. 27 in its Vintage Casks series. It was distilled in 2008 and matured for ten years, until it was bottled in April 2019 at a cask strength of 55.9%. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. Glen Spey is a Diageo-owned distillery in Rothes, Speyside. The nose offers fresh malt, light menthol, fresh grass, honey and pencil shavings. On the palate are toasted malt, a touch of brown sugar, orange peel, fresh herbs and vanilla pod. Aniseed and more menthol return in the finish, alongside oily malt.
