This is a Speyside single malt from Glen Spey, bottled by the independent bottler Signatory Vintage at 54.4% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2008 and matured for 18 years in a single Pedro Ximénez sherry cask, number 18. The PX cask is the main influence here, bringing raisins, dates, figs and dark chocolate alongside warm spices and soft wood. The nose is rich with raisins, dried figs and dates, plus dark chocolate, caramel and candied orange. The palate is full, with syrupy dried fruit, plums and dark berries, then toffee and sweet spice. The finish is long and warming, with raisins, cocoa and caramelised fruit.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
