Glen Spey – 2012/2025 13 Year Old First-Fill White Wine Barrique Cask Masters (70cl, 56.7%)

This Glen Spey is a single cask Speyside malt, distilled on 5 January 2012 and matured for thirteen years in a first-fill white wine barrique. It was bottled on 16 May 2025 at a cask strength of 56.7%, in an edition of 230 bottles, without chill-filtering or added colour. The wine cask gives a lively, tannic structure alongside ripe orchard fruit, blossom, vanilla and spice. Brave New Spirits released it as an independent bottler in its Cask Masters series. The nose is ripe apple, floral notes, vanilla and a touch of oak. The palate is full, round and balanced, with spicy accents against the fruit sweetness. The finish is long, with oak and a light fruit note.
