This is a 10 year old Glen Spey, distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2023 at 50.2% in a 70cl bottle. It is a Hannah Whisky Merchants release finished in a pair of ex-port casks.
One is a refill ex-ruby port cask. The other is a barrique seasoned with Super Porto wine from the Douro River Valley. The two casks were combined and left to marry, balancing the fruit and spice notes of the distillery character with the influence of the second cask.
The new make from this distillery is nutty and oily.
