This ten-year-old Glen Spey comes from a single PX sherry quarter cask in the Claxton's Exclusives series. It was distilled on 15 October 2015 and bottled on 27 April 2026 at a cask strength of 58%, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The smaller quarter cask, previously filled with Pedro Ximénez sherry, gives the whisky plenty of contact with the wood, pairing dark fruit and rich sweetness with pronounced spice.
Dark raisins and ripe plums lead the nose, with forest honey, vanilla, cinnamon and black pepper. The palate is full and concentrated, with caramel and honey around dark cherries. The long finish turns spicy with aniseed and black pepper, then a soft almond sweetness.
