Glen Wyvis – 2018 Batch 2 (46.5%)

This is the second bottling from Glen Wyvis, a distillery near Dingwall in the north of Scotland. The whisky was matured for 3 years in the distillery's own dunnage warehouse and bottled at 46.5% ABV, in a run of 8000 bottles. The casks are mixed: 60% first fill Tennessee whiskey casks, 25% first fill oloroso casks and 15% refill Scotch whisky casks. The Tennessee casks add a complex sweetness, the oloroso brings rich fruit, and the Scotch whisky casks contribute fragrant, spicy notes.
