GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 13 is a Speyside single malt bottled at its natural cask strength of 59.8% in a 70cl bottle. It is Master Distiller Billy Walker's selection for this batch, non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky was matured in four types of cask: Pedro Ximénez sherry, Oloroso sherry, Rioja red wine and virgin oak.
The nose offers mocha, crystallised ginger and cinnamon, then mānuka honey, muscovado sugar, treacle and maraschino cherries. The palate runs from cocoa, salted caramel and warmed honey to baking spices, blood orange and molasses tart, closing with glazed blackberries and fig syrup.
