GlenAllachie – 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 13 (59.8%)

GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 13 is a Speyside single malt bottled at its natural cask strength of 59.8% ABV. It is made in small batches under Master Distiller Billy Walker. Batch 13 was matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, Oloroso sherry casks, red wine casks and virgin oak. Each adds something different: sweetness and dark fruit from the PX, nutty spice from the Oloroso, berry fruit and structure from the red wine, and vanilla, toffee and warming spice from the new oak. It has a deep chestnut colour and a lively aroma, with a powerful palate of dark fruit, dark chocolate, berries and spice.
