This is a 12-year-old single malt Scotch whisky from Glenallachie. It spent its first 10 years in American oak casks, then a further 2 years in ex-ruby port casks.
The result is a generous whisky with notes of honey, chocolate and grape must, moving on to citrus and spicy ginger that give it liveliness and character.
