This GlenAllachie 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from The Wood Collection, a limited edition bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered, with no colour added.
The whisky has been finished in Sauternes hogsheads. Sauternes is made from white Bordeaux grapes and is famed for sweetness from noble rot, a natural process that dries the grapes and concentrates their sugars.
Ripe peach, rich caramel sauce and the gentle warmth of stem ginger sit alongside the whisky's naturally honeyed character.
