A 13 year old GlenAllachie single malt from Speyside, distilled in 2011 and bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as cask 107.27. It was matured in a single bourbon barrel, which gave 204 bottles at 64.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The nose is tropical, with pineapple, mango, guava, banana and coconut over toasted marshmallows. Water brings freshly shaved oak, oiled cedar wood and white chocolate. The palate starts sharp, with green gooseberry conserve, before cured bacon, marzipan and bourbon syrup over pancakes appear. The overall taste recalls a slice of earl grey and lemon meringue cake with sour cherries in a lightly sweet syrup.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
