This is a 21 year old single cask GlenAllachie from Speyside, bottled by Montgomerie's for its Rare Select range. It was distilled in November 1995 and matured in a bourbon cask until September 2017, when 382 bottles were filled at 46% ABV. This one is in a 70cl bottle.
Bourbon casks are less common among older GlenAllachie releases, many of which are sherry finished or matured.
The nose is peanut brittle and roasted chestnuts with a dusting of cooking spice. The palate has chewy dates and dried tropical fruit with nutty notes, and the finish brings caramel, cedar and pear.
