This is a 7 year old Glenallachie single malt from Speyside, bottled at 48% abv in a 70cl bottle.
It has been finished in Hungarian oak, specifically Quercus Petraea from the Zemplen forest. Wood of this type is rare, and this is one of the first single malts to be matured in it.
The toasted oak adds nutty flavours and a mellow toffee note that lasts long into the finish.
