Glenburgie – 14 Years 2007 Conquête (70cl, 62.5%)

This is a Glenburgie single malt from Speyside, distilled in 2007 and bottled at 14 years old by Signatory Vintage. It comes from a limited run of 550 bottles at 62.5%, in a 70cl bottle supplied in a tube. It is part of the Plume collection, which is devoted entirely to maturation in sherry casks, and follows Glenlivet, Benrinnes and Glenallachie in that series. The character is exotic and rancio, with mango and cherries in eau-de-vie, alongside floral, mineral and honeyed notes. The finish is oriental, with rose petal.
