This is a 38-year-old Glenburgie from Speyside, distilled in 1986 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail on 24 April 2025 for its Connoisseurs Choice range. It is a single cask release from a refill American hogshead, where it matured throughout, and comes from a run of 118 bottles at a cask strength of 57.9%.
The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose offers ripe red apples, vanilla cream and a hint of cocoa powder. On the palate it is smooth and peppery, with apple and ripe blueberry moving into zesty lime and ripe oak. The finish is medium in length, led by fresh mint and soft oak.
