A Glenburgie distilled in 1988 and bottled in December 2020 at 32 years old, from a single refill bourbon hogshead. Gordon & MacPhail released it in their Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength series, in a 70cl bottle at 53.8% ABV. The cask gave 134 bottles at its natural strength. Glenburgie is a Speyside distillery whose spirit mostly goes into Chivas blends, so single malt bottlings are not common. The nose opens with dried apricot, then elderflower and soft herbal notes. The palate is smooth and fruity, with lime and mango leading to dried tobacco and mature oak. The finish is medium, with lingering citrus.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
