Glenburgie – 1990-2021 31 Year Old Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice Single Cask (70cl, 52.9%)

A single cask Glenburgie from Speyside, distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2021 at 31 years old for Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength range. It comes in a 70cl bottle at its natural cask strength of 52.9%. The whisky matured in a first fill sherry butt, which yielded 482 bottles. Tasting notes describe dark forest fruit, clove spice and stewed apples on the nose, then morello cherry, dark chocolate and toasted almonds on the palate. The finish is full, with mature oak and bitter marmalade.
