Glenburgie – 1995 26 Year Old Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice Single Cask 6349 (70cl, 56.8%)

A single cask Speyside malt from Glenburgie, distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2022 at 26 years old. Gordon & MacPhail released it in their Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength range, in a 70cl bottle at 56.8% ABV. The whisky matured in a first fill sherry puncheon, cask 6349, which gave 564 bottles. It is bottled without colouring or chill filtration. The tasting notes describe raisin, orange peel and fruitcake on the nose. The palate brings sultanas, pepper and toasted hazelnuts, and the finish is full and spicy.
