Glenburgie – 1995 27 Year Old North Star Single Cask Range 20 (70cl, 52.1%)

This is a single cask Glenburgie from Speyside, bottled by North Star Spirits as part of its Single Cask Range 20. The whisky was distilled in June 1995 and matured for 27 years in a refill hogshead. It was bottled in September 2022 at 52.1%, in an outturn of 220 bottles, without added colour or chill-filtration. The nose brings apple and poached pear. On the palate come cider, wax, white pepper and oat pastry, and the finish is long and balanced.
