Glenburgie – 2004 14 Year Old Connoisseur's Choice (70cl, 46%)

This is a Glenburgie single malt selected and bottled by Gordon and MacPhail for their Connoisseur's Choice label. The whisky was distilled in 2004, aged for 14 years in four first fill Bourbon barrels and bottled in 2018. The four casks were vatted together, giving 1,164 bottles at 46% ABV. It is non-chill filtered and at natural colour. The nose has thick vanilla, green apple and hints of white chocolate. On the palate, cracked black pepper leads to pear and baked apple. The finish is warming, with ginger nuances.
