Glenburgie – 2004 Distillery Labels by Gordon & MacPhail (70cl, 43%)

This is a Speyside single malt from Glenburgie, distilled in 2004 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in 2019 at 43% ABV, after about 15 years in cask. It comes in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Distillery Labels series, whose bottles carry a label designed specifically for the distillery and licensed to Gordon & MacPhail by the distillery itself. Glenburgie has mostly gone into blends in the Chivas Brothers range, such as Ballantine's and Teacher's. The nose offers subtle sherry aromas with butterscotch and spices. The palate is smooth and sweet with stewed fruits, and the finish brings milk chocolate and roasted hazelnut.
